The oud is a hollow pear-shaped 11 string instrument, is one of most ancient and evocative instruments in the world which originated in the Middle East and North Africa.
Sergio D Tala can perform on the Oud as duo, trio or small ensamble depending on your needs. Along with a percussion drum called darbuka played by Rogelio Corcolis, his music is a mix of improvisations around traditional maqams (Arabic scales) and some Arabic music pieces. We recommend belly dancers to get a more traditional sense to this concept, Available upon request.
